My Boy...

Nine years ago today, you made me a mother again… and not just any kind of mother. A boy mama. And what a journey it’s been… one filled with wild energy, boundless curiosity, deep emotions and a love so fierce it takes my breath away.

You look so much like me and yet you’ve taught me more about myself than I ever could’ve imagined. You move through this world with intensity, with fire in your eyes and joy in your soul. You feel everything (and I mean everything) with your whole heart. You absorb the world like it’s a song only we can hear and somehow… we’ve found this rhythm, you and I. This quiet, unspoken dance that gets us through our days together. Our own beat. Our own little world.
You laugh like there’s nothing else in the universe but this moment. You dance like your feet can barely keep up with the joy inside you. And somehow, you teach me, every single day, how to live more freely, more honestly, more fully.
There’s something magical about being your mom. It’s not always easy, but it’s real. And it’s ours. And I wouldn’t trade this rhythm we share for anything.
... you are light, energy, soul, music.
And I’m so lucky I get to call you mine.
Happy Birthday, my sweet, wild, beautiful boy.
Here’s to more dancing, more laughter and all the adventures still ahead.
