Today, I Realised Something Beautifull...
Today, I found myself thinking about a conversation I had.
One of those conversations that seems simple in the moment, but quietly stays with us for days.
We were talking about life, about paths, about choices, about all the things that transform us without us even noticing. And, in a moment of true honesty, a sentence came out of me that surprised me with its simplicity:
“For the first time in my adult life, I feel that I am not in love with anyone.”
I said it without sadness.

And perhaps that was what surprised me the most.
For so long, I associated love with the presence of someone else. With the butterflies in my stomach. With waiting for a message. With the desire to share everything with someone special.
And now there is this silence.
But it is not an empty silence.
It is a full one.
She looked at me and asked:
“And what about you? Are you in love with yourself?”
I had no answer.
Perhaps because this is a question I am still learning to feel, not just to answer.
I spent so many years giving love. Caring. Building. Trying to understand the place I held in other people’s lives.
Maybe only now I am discovering my own place.
The place where I exist completely.
I still don’t know if I am in love with myself.
But I do know that I am in love with life.
And how beautiful it is to realise that.
I am in love with the little things.
With a quiet morning coffee. With the silence before the day begins. With a song that arrives at exactly the right moment. With a conversation that warms the soul. With an unexpected laugh.
I am in love with the small loves.
With the hugs from my friends, the ones that say “I am here” without needing words. With the people who remind us who we are when life makes us forget.
I am in love with the sea.
With the way it carries me until I fall asleep, as if it knows all my thoughts, all my pain and all my joys.
I am in love with dance.
With a body that moves without fear.
With the kind of dance that frees me from everything that weighs me down and gives me back to myself, whole again, without needing words.
There, in that moment, I am not my past. I am not my future.
I am simply presence.
I am me.
I am in love with the journeys I have yet to take, the books that are still waiting for me, the people I have yet to meet, and the versions of myself that are still waiting to be born.
I like this woman I am discovering.
A woman who is no longer in such a hurry.
A woman who is beginning to understand that not everything needs to be found.
Some things arrive when we finally create the space to receive them.
And perhaps this is what true rebirth really is:
not the beginning of a new life, but the courage to fully inhabit the one we already have.
Today, I am not searching for anything.
Today, I am grateful.
Grateful for everything that brought me here. The loves I have lived. The pain that transformed me. The people who passed through my life. The ones who stayed. The parts of myself I had to lose in order to find myself again.
And I still believe in love.
I believe in that beautiful, gentle, soulful love.
The kind that does not come to fill an emptiness, but to sit beside a life that is already whole.
But for now, I feel something very simple:
My heart is full.
Full of life.
Full of music.
Full of sea.
Full of love.
And perhaps that is the greatest freedom I have found.
Realising that I am not waiting for life to begin.
It has already begun.
And I am here.
Living it.
